These are the terms you agree to by using ChalkBags.com or buying from it. We have kept them short and readable on purpose.
Who you are dealing with
ChalkBags.com, reachable at 1621 Central Ave #59518, Cheyenne, WY 82001, and through our contact form. “We” and “us” mean us. “You” means you.
Using the site
Read it, share it, link to it. Do not scrape it wholesale, resell our photos or written reviews as your own, or try to break into it. You need to be 18, or have a parent or guardian place the order for you.
Orders and prices
Adding something to your cart is not a contract. An order becomes final when we send you a confirmation email.
We can decline or cancel an order, and refund you in full, if an item is out of stock, if a price or description was wrong on the page, or if the order looks fraudulent. Prices are in US dollars and can change without notice, though a change never applies to an order we already confirmed.
Sales tax is added where we are required to collect it, calculated at checkout from your shipping address.
Made-to-order and personalized items
House bags are sewn after you order them, in the colors you picked. Personalized items get your text or your logo stitched into them.
- You can change or cancel a personalized order for a full refund within 12 hours of placing it. Production starts at the 12-hour mark.
- After that, personalized items are final sale, because nobody else wants a bag with your name on it. This does not apply if the item arrives damaged or we stitched it wrong.
- Check your spelling. We stitch exactly the characters you type, including the typo.
- If you upload a logo, you are telling us you have the right to use it. If someone comes after us over a logo you supplied, that is on you, not us.
Handmade means small variation between bags. Color on your screen will not match fabric exactly. That is not a defect.

Our reviews and rankings
We buy or receive bags, climb in them, and write what we think. Opinions are opinions, and yours may differ. Specs and measurements are taken from our own samples and can vary between production runs, so treat them as close, not exact.
Placement in a ranking is not for sale, and never will be. How we make money is spelled out on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Anything you post
If you leave a review, a photo, or a comment, you keep owning it and you give us permission to show it on the site and in our marketing. Do not post anything that is not yours, and do not post anything abusive. We can remove content that breaks that.
Limited warranty, and what we do not promise
House bags carry a one-year limited warranty to the original purchaser against our own mistakes: seams that fail, hardware that breaks, stitching that comes apart under normal use. Use our contact form, with your order number and a photo, and we repair or replace it at no cost to you.
It does not cover normal wear, chalk stains, abrasion from rock, a dog, or a bag left in a hot car. Third-party brands we stock carry their own manufacturer warranty, and we will help you file it.
Any implied warranty on a house bag lasts as long as that one-year limited warranty and no longer, where state law allows it. Some states do not allow that limit, in which case it does not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
Separately, the content of this site, meaning the reviews, guides, specs, and advice, is provided as is and without warranty of any kind. Climbing is dangerous and nothing we sell is safety equipment. A chalk bag will not hold a fall, and no advice on this site substitutes for real instruction and your own judgment on the wall.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to an order is capped at what you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Some states do not allow those limits, in which case they do not apply to you.
Links off this site
We link to retailers and manufacturers we do not control. Their prices, stock, policies, and privacy practices are theirs, not ours.
If there is a dispute
Email us first. Most things get fixed in one message.
If that fails, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Utah County, Utah. Nothing here stops you from bringing a claim in small claims court.
The rest
If a court strikes one part of these terms, the rest still stands. We can update these terms, and the date at the top tells you when we last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
